ORIGINAL PENGUIN SoHo
The SoHo location is a 3,200 square-foot storefront and is a throwback to Original Penguin’s 1950s origin as a premiere athletic lifestyle label, with airy loft-like retail space which showcases all of its products for men as well as a selection of women’s merchandise. A lounge area modeled with period Danish furnishings, and archival photos/artworks, transported from companies headquarter in Minneapolis, Minnesota, help to complete vintage feel. The store is a convenient shopping location for customers in the downtown area of New York City. To locate the store, simply look for a black flag with “Pete the Penguin” logo.

SOL DE IBIZA
Leslie Bettison fell in love with the “ad libitum” (at one’s pleasure) Spanish style on a trip to Ibiza in 2007. Bettison brought apparel from her favorite designers back to the U.S., opening this aptly named boutique and decking it with wicker furniture and bamboo accents. The perpetually tan Bettison makes frequent trips back to Menorca and Ibiza throughout the year to keep the summer stock fresh year-round.

Local Scene

It's no wonder SoHo is known as one of the style capitals of the world. With hundreds of unique boutiques you are certain to find that one of a kind item. SoHo is home to many of the best designers in the world who sell their work out of charming boutiques.

Fun Facts

The neighborhood rose to fame as a neighborhood for artists during the 1960s
and 1970s, when the cheap spaces vacated by departing factories were converted by artists into lofts and studios. SoHo's lofts were especially appealing to artists because they could use the wide spaces and tall ceilings that factories and warehouses required to create and store their work.
